The Organization provides technical assistance, best practices, collaborative intelligence and training for the mutual benefit of the transportation law enforcement and public safety departments; maintaining contact with national and international authorities, implementing operational contracts and programs, and serving as an Ambassador of the Organization.
INTERNATIONAL COLLABORATION IS KEY IN TODAY’S WORLD
Things have changed since our beginning in 1969. 9/11, 7/7 and other terrorist events have shaken the foundation of security globally. Before 9/11, our focus was terrorism and serious transnational crime. While that stands today, our methods have changed. Trusted sharing, access to reliable and timely information, the use of technology to benefit the human element, the quest for innovative and consistent terrorism training are all important elements as we strive to keep pace with a constantly changing landscape. Together we can prevail.
Community policing and the implementation of a vast eyes-and-ears program within the transportation sector is an important step in fighting terrorism and other serious crimes. Our strategic MOUs and relationships with jurisdictions allow for a global transportation security community to learn, train, network and cooperate in for and prevention of terrorism, serious crimes and emergency crisis.
Remember; Criminals have no borders!
Share our vision and participate in the Global Force.
